Enterprise Technology Carve-Out
Helped establish an independent technology, infrastructure, security, and operational environment following a corporate carve-out.
When a business unit separates from its parent company, it typically loses shared infrastructure, security tooling, IT operations, and compliance support overnight — all of which have to be rebuilt independently, on a deadline, without disrupting the business.
As part of prior technology leadership work, I was instrumental in standing up a fully independent technology environment following a corporate carve-out: infrastructure, IT operations, security tooling, and the compliance foundation the business needed to operate on its own. That included building an ISO 27001 program from the ground up and getting the organization to audit readiness.
The outcome was a stable, independent technology environment — not a temporary patch — with the security and compliance posture required for the business to operate credibly as a standalone company.
Building a Security and Compliance Posture
Built and operated an ISO 27001 program end to end, from initial gap assessment to audit readiness.
Many growing organizations reach a point where customers, partners, or regulators require formal proof of a security program — and where that program has to be real, not a document exercise.
I led the design and operation of an ISO 27001 program, including security tooling selection and implementation, policy development, control ownership, and the operational discipline needed to sustain the program between audits — not just pass the first one.
The result was a security and compliance posture the organization could stand behind under audit and in front of customers, integrated into day-to-day operations rather than bolted on for certification.
Enterprise AI Adoption
Led enterprise AI strategy and adoption, including managing a vendor relationship with Anthropic.
Enterprise AI adoption tends to move faster than the governance around it — organizations want the productivity gains, but without a clear process, adoption creates security, data-handling, and quality risks that outweigh the benefit.
I led AI strategy and adoption for a technology organization, including evaluating and implementing LLM-based tools, establishing the internal review and governance process needed to adopt AI safely, and managing the organization’s enterprise relationship with Anthropic.
The outcome was practical, sustained AI adoption across the organization — with the guardrails in place to keep it safe as usage grew, rather than a one-off pilot that stalled.
